It is possible to highlight a porcelain complexion even at the height of summer by applying certain colours very carefully! Here's how Justine, Chloé and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe got the look.
It is possible to highlight a porcelain complexion even at the height of summer by applying certain colours very carefully! Here's how Justine, Chloé and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe got the look.
1stSTEP
Before you decide to play with colour, it's important to lay down a base layer that will leave your skin looking flawless. Begin by applying primer over your whole face (don't forget your eyelids!), which will help keep your makeup from running or smudging in the summer heat. Using the Personnelle concealer stick and corrector palette, cover up any dark under-eye shadows, redness or spots.
2ndSTEP
A small amount of Personnelle's BB Cream will be enough to even out your complexion in a more natural way than a foundation. Dab it on with your fingertips; it will blend easily with your skin tone, leaving you with a guaranteed healthy glow (choose a shade that matches your skin colour)! Don't forget to also apply a cream with a high SPF before applying your BB Cream.

3rdSTEP
Well-defined eyebrows are still popular, and we're really celebrating them! Personnelle's eyebrow palette offers four shades, including blond, light brown and dark brown, to suit most people. Those of you with coloured hair, like Maxime, can really use this palette to your advantage, because natural-looking eyebrows are always a safe bet.
4thSTEP
We kept it simple when it came to Chloé and Maxime's eyeshadow. Maxime applied a slightly translucent eyeshadow from the Chiaroscuro palette to her upper lids, while Chloé opted for the Ombre Intense eyeshadow pencil in Moon. It's long lasting and contrasts perfectly with her brown eyes. As for Justine, she preferred to keep it natural and skip the eyeshadow.

5th STEP
Justine gave herself a femme fatale yet romantique look by drawing a thick line right along the roots of her lashes in black liquid eyeliner. She followed the curve of her eye, drawing the line up slightly at the outside corner of each eye to widen her gaze. Her two sisters opted for the eye pencil. They drew a narrow line along their bottom lid, then drew a thicker one along their upper lids.

6th STEP
Applying a coat of must-have mascara (Fantacils for Maxime, and Duplicils for Chloé and Justine) to the upper lids is essential for adding depth to the eyes.

7thSTEP
We added a splash of colour to the girls' makeup by highlighting their cheekbones with a pink-hued blush, like Natural, which sculpted Maxime's face. You can also blend shades together, like Justine (Mocha and Natural) and Chloé (Mocha, Natural and Rustic) did.

8th STEP
Lips are red-hot this season! Reddish tones are energizing, like Prestige and Populaire (Maxime), Renom (Justine) and Excellence (Chloé), which are all part of the Distinction line. A tip is to draw along the edges of your lips with the Smear Proof lipliner before applying your lipstick.

9th STEP
The height of elegance, nail polish lets you unleash your inner artist and add a dash of whimsy to your look! You can play with colour blocking, like Justine and Maxime, or match your nails with your lips, like Chloé did by applying different colours from one nail to the next.
